Hèctor Díaz, MA, LAC
Licensed Contract Therapist
Hector started his career in mental health in 2010 working as a High Needs Case Manager, guiding families through the complicated and intimidating behavioral health system, while connecting them with valuable resources in their community. In 2014, he obtained his counseling degree and state license, as he felt he could have a greater impact on his community as a therapist. Since then, Hector has accrued a vast range of experiences working with children and adults in a variety of settings such as outpatient counseling, residential treatment, business coaching, and refugee resettlement (se habla espanol).
As a therapist, Hector leans toward a Cognitive Behavioral and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy approach. These approaches to therapy emphasize that people are not disturbed by things or events, but rather what they think about those things or events. “Just as everyone else, I am very much a work in progress; however this realization has had a profound impact on my maturation.”
